General & Chronic Pain Physiotherapy  

Karin Kaufmann graduated from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1988. She also studied three years of psychology. In 1992, Karin immigrated to Canada, where she started working in the Valleyview health center, then moved to Edmonton and eventually to Calgary. She has worked in hospitals, private hospitals, Chronic Pain clinics, multi-disciplinary clinics, and Physiotherapy clinics in big cities and in rural small towns.

She has completed postgraduate education in spinal and peripheral joint mobilization, advanced electrotherapy, laser, ultrasound, shockwave, Lymphatic drainage, and Visceral manipulation. She has also gained knowledge about yoga, acupressure, acupuncture, and Craniosacral therapy. She has completed postgraduate courses in the treatment of TMJ disfunction and chronic pain.

She has treated MVA, WCB, multiple sclerosis, neurological patients, orthopaedic patients and sports injuries.

She has completed four years of martial arts training, four years of competitive ballroom, dancing, and about 10 years of fine art, like watercolor, and oil painting. She also likes running, swimming,  skiing, waterskiing  and traveling. She has a special interest in helping people overcoming chronic pain and enjoying and rejoining their pain-free, former fit and happy life.
